S/he’s not serious, is s/he?
First of all, it’s already a bit annoying to classify all people as a whole and define their traits saying “all of them do this, all of them say that, all of them look like this”. This person defined a stereotype for a girl gamer that is the complete opposite of how people like to picture gamer girls (the typical bimbo who’s never held a controller before in her life). And my conclusion is that s/he’s resentful because true gamer girls are most likely not to look like that.
“All gamer girls have dark hair and wear glasses” (is that a bad thing?) “and they most likely look like this (‘scary’ pic)”.
“Scary pic”? Are you saying fat people are ‘scary’?
Now this especially touched me in a particular area that I don’t like and makes me feel like a 15-year-old girl with a severe case of PMS (because not all girls have it that bad, but when they do… Brace yourselves). I’m a fat admirer. I love fat and I dream of getting married to a girl/woman that’s overweight and is not having it that bad. Don’t get me wrong, I am concerned about health and I know that being obese is not the healthiest choice of life (when it is a choice and it’s not a hormonal problem (believe it or not, that’s not an ‘excuse’, it happens)). Basically I like to see a fat girl or a fat person in general and see that they’re alright and doing fine despite their weight, and (the most ideal of cases for me) maybe they’re even happy about it. So, I find the picture caption to be completely inaccurate; the truth doesn’t hurt if it’s plus-sized! I want to marry the gamer in the ‘scary’ picture right now! ^//^
Even without my own personal tastes interfering, this person’s post is incredibly biased, discriminatory and narrow-minded, so much that it’s hard to discern if it’s serious or if it’s just rude irony.
And regarding gamers, what you look like is not important. Just play the freaking game and stop making a fuss about it. What, are gamers a superior race? Just for liking videogames and being skilled at them? Come on, there are more important things to pay attention to, more even at the time of looking for a significant other.
What are your thoughts on this, people?
